Morning Training Sucks

I’ve always admired the 6am guys and girls that I train. I’ve done early morning training out of necessity a few times and the truth is, every time I’ve absolutely dreaded it, especially in winter. It’s cold my body aches, I’m still basically asleep, How can any good possibly come out of this? Well apparently a lot of good, if it’s with the right people..

Morning Training With a Partner

I know I sound like a broken record, but weightlifting is not a good solo sport. You must have good training partners. They’ll make you better than any coach could. atmosphere is everything!

Joel (CFNMCH coach and CrossFit athlete) has been training with me for the last few weeks as I prepare for Senior Nationals. I’ve come to a shocking realization, If it was the difference between training alone during the day or training with Joel early morning. I’d pick training with Joel any day. Not only are my Gainz coming along nicely, but training in a positive atmosphere with friends is why I built RAW Barbell Club in the first place! We push each other, smack talk and help each other grow. Along with my other crew I don’t think I’d be anywhere near prepared for Nats.

So that’s basically the gist of this post. Don’t be boring and train by yourself, train with your friends. Oh, and if you don’t have friends that’s cool. I know this really cool weightlifting club that has lot’s of people that will be your friend. (It’s called RAW Barbell Club)

Any way enough gibber jabber. Here’s a vid of one of our least productive training sessions XD
